ASTM A500 was revised in 2021: Grade C round HSS now has Fy = 50 ksi (previously 46 ksi). Use the "before 2021" option when evaluating existing round HSS — some manufacturer literature still lists 46 ksi.

VerifiedAISC Companion V16.0 Vol. 2 Tables 6-G/6-H: all 362 tabulated round HSS identified; tension, shear, flexure and 9 898 compression values within ±1 %. Table 6-H reproduces only with Fy = 50 ksi. The E7-7 discontinuity (Ae/Ag up to 1.012 just above the slender limit) is capped at Ae = Ag here; the AISC table applies it literally (one shape, 1.1 %).
