ASCE 7-22Snow is a strength-level load: LRFD 1.0S (principal), 0.3S (companion), 0.15S with seismic; ASD 0.7S, 0.525S, and 0.1S with seismic (§2.4.5). Sources: ICC, Demystifying Loads — 2024 IBC / ASCE 7-22; ASCE 7-22 §2.4.5; S. K. Ghosh Associates, Significant Changes in ASCE 7-22.
ASCE 7-16LRFD 1.6(Lr or S or R), 0.5(Lr or S or R), 0.2S with seismic; ASD (Lr or S or R), 0.75(…), 0.75S with seismic. Seismic combinations in §2.3.6 / §2.4.5 with E = f(Ev, Eh).
ScopeLoads are same-sign load effects; the most unfavourable of each "or" group is used. Not included: tornado (WT), flood, ice, soil (H), fluid (F), self-straining (T) and overstrength (Emh) combinations; the 0.5L exception for L0 ≤ 100 psf is not applied (conservative). Calculations: engine/asce7-combos.js (tested).
