Method

Modelduration = man-hours / (crew × hours per day). Linear, and that is its limitation: output stops scaling with crew size once the work face is congested, so a large crew number is an upper bound rather than a schedule.

RoundingA crew is a whole number of people, so the requirement is rounded up — which means the work finishes early, not on the target date. The actual finish is reported so the slack is visible instead of hidden.

ProductivityMan-hours per unit is a required input, not a stored table. Published unit-price analyses revise these figures annually and they vary with method, access and season; this tool will not substitute a typical value for yours.

ConfidenceLevel A for the arithmetic. No allowance is made for weather, learning curve or crew interference.
