Calculation steps
Shear reinforcement — not implemented
If VEd > VRd,c, shear reinforcement is required and must be designed by the variable strut inclination method (§6.2.3). That needs the strut angle θ chosen within the National Annex limits, together with ν₁ and αcw — all NDPs that could not be verified. Not implemented in this version.
Preliminary calculation tool. Final design requires the full official text of BS EN 1990 with its UK National Annex and review by a suitably qualified engineer.
